Default Need Help ASAP!!!Engine won't turn over!

Got everything hooked-up on the new motor today. Turned the key over several times without cranking it to build fuel pressure. Went to go start it and it wouldn't turn all the way over. Sounded like the battery was weak, so I charged the batter for about an hour, nothing. Rolled the truck down the driveway and tried to jump start it for about 30min., nothing. Went to Wal-mart and bought a brand new battery, nothing. Then I found a ground wire on the back of the block on the passanger side that I must have overlooked. Bolted it down to the back of the head. Nothing.

Is it possible that I flooded the motor trying to crank it so many times?

Could I have blown a fuse when the ground was disconnected? The other ground wires on the driver side ARE hooked up.

Anybody know of any ideas? Please help!!!

Is there certain fuses I should be looking for? Or just pop the fuse cover and check them all?

The ground strap on the firewall goes to the back of the block, right?

Should I take out the spark plugs or anything?

In the morning I'm gonna check everthing that I can, just trying to get as many ideas for tomorrow as I can. Thanks for any suggestions, keep 'em coming!

Check the ground strap on the side of the block, drivers side. I had hell of times starting my truck when this strap wasn't grounded all the way.

Does it go on the block, head or either?

Mine bolts into the bottom side of the block. Pretty much right behind the power steering pump.

I only remember 2 on mine. One on the back of the heads, and the one on the bottom side.
