Need help with cam decision
I presently have the cam in my truck right now, thats in my sig. I am going to add a yank 2600 stall and dynatech longtubes. Some ppl have tols me that a TR 220 cam would be better with the 100 shot then the cam i have. my truck has the dod lifters in it, i am thinking of changing them out and a little light porting. Would it be worth changing to the TR 220 and would 918's be alright with that cam? the 220 come on a 112. the 216 220 560 560 cam i have now is on a 114 and it dosent lope n e at all also i am gonna change the exhaust to a magnaflow single 3" exhaust with a cutout and a off road y pipe.....please tell me what ya think......

it doesnt lope because you still have cats and manifolds... take those off and go with the LT's and ORY, and that cam will talk to you, trust me
i wouldnt go through the trouble and expense of another cam change to gain 5 hp, the juice and the LT's w/ORY will make it feel like a whole new truck!

both of those cams are great but i agree you really need the long tubes and y-pipe you need to let that monster breath. just a question why dont you try a 3200 stall with the cam you already have. what are our 1/4 mile times

14.80 with stock y and converter...that was in 4 wheel drive, i couldnt get it to hook in 2wd when the juice came in on the huge 20's. has n e one heard n e thing bad out of the stock lifters in the new DOD engines?...Dynatech is the onlt ppl that make the lt's for the nnbs 4wd's right now i think, tbyrne motorsports was the cheapest place to get them but they must have went outta business...n e ideas?...Also what kinna cat back would you do in my case. I thought about a magnaflow dual out in front of the rear tires?...
