Default Need help, Supercharger questions

Not for me, but for a fellow I know. He's in his 50's and doesn't get on the computer, so I'm trying to give him a hand.

His problem. He bought a Powerdyne supercharger and put it on his 99 reg cab silverado with a 5.3, two wheel drive. After quite some time of tinkering to get it to work ( pulley alignment problems) he got it all set up. It seems to work alright, and he's getting a solid 5lbs of boost. He likes the way it pulls and is happy so far, but he still has some issues. With the programing that comes with the charger, his shift points are up to like 5500 rpm's but the truck runs out of steam at around 4900-5000, then after the shift it's right back to strong pulling. He thinks it's running out of fuel, and I haven't had a chance to look at it with my Autotap, so I don't know. He was wanting to upgrade to larger injectors, but is unsure if he need's too, and if so what to go to. I don't know what to tell him for sure. Doe's he need larger injectors or does he just need a fuel pump? His truck is mostly stock, save for exhaust. He doesn't even have headers. I know Powerdynes aren't the best way to go with superchargers, and I would have steered him another direction, but I just showed up at his shop one day and he was installing it. So, he has it, and I'd like to see him make it work. What shoud he do, or could anyone give me some pointers as to what we should do to get it tuned right, and running good. Again, it seems to be running strong, it just gives up around 5000 rpm's and the truck doesn't shift until 5500. Any help?

Did it come with a fuel management unit? (raises the fuel pressure in relation to boost)

Did it come with a inline booster fuel pump?

It sounds like a fueling issue.

It did come with the fuel management unit, but not a fuel pump. I was thinking that a fuel pump should have been included, but he didn't get one. It was a used kit.

You really need to get it on a wideband, or log with some sort of logging software to be able to tell for sure. I'll bet it needs a booster pump though.

I'll try to get with him to log some Autotap time and see what it's doing. What size inline pump and where can he get one? Brand etc. What I'm asking is what would work best.
