Unhappy Need help w/Noise

I washed my engine and now everytime it rains or we have due in the air, and now with snow, the engines makes this squealing noise from the front of the engine around the belts or fan. Never makes it when its dry. I tried belt dressings but it doesn't work. Anybody ever had this problem? Makes my Tahoe sound cheap.

Mine did the same thing until I put a new belt on it.

mine does the same thing...even AFTER new belts (BOTH belts are BRAND NEW Gatorback belts), I've decided it's the air-conditioner-belt tensioner pulley and I am going to change it when I do the heads/cam/exhaust in March

Check you a/c compressor clutch. Mine had a light coat of rust on it and it would squeel like that when ever it was humid outside when I first cranked it up. After lubing it up it was fine. Also hit all you tentioners while you have the lub out.

Yes, check your tensioners. I've had these spring/coil bad before on other vehicles.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check'm. Its weird, only squeals when its wet or humid. Never made the noise until I washed the engine. Less then 40K on the clock.

Use any lube, like wd40 or dressing? and any specific location in the tensioner?
