Yes, shorty headers are well better than manifolds but not by a ton. Full length headers are the way to go handsdown. Just wait on headers if you can't swing full length ones.
Also, a tune will make a world of difference. Don't waste the money on a handheld, the custom is the way to go. My heavy *** Z71 gets all sorts of sqirley around corners now under slight throttle...it's truely different how much better it runs. Better economy is a byproduct...
Do gears later. Even with the 3.42:1 your 1st gear is lower than the one in my F150 with 4.10:1 gears...well for the holeshot anyway.
Send back the shorty headers and that pulley.
Pick up a TransGo kit, billet apply servos, and a B&M cooler. Make your tranny last and shift much better. If funds allow, that Yank TT3000 stall converter is the popular unit here.
Port the stock TB. NO TB SPACER, Kevin (v8) dyno'd one and either lost power or gained like 1rwhp! LOL
Electric fans are a cheap and nice addition to any truck, I have them on my Ford I love them so much!

Well, if you've never used pulleys...you get a crappy undercharge at idle with them if you don't upgrade the alternator. So you've gotta shell out at least another $100 to get an OE 130A and have a stock idle charge with them. With low charge your A/C doesn't blow full blast in the summer...not good in Texas.
If you plan e-fans, your undercharge will be worse yet even with that 130A. You'd need a 180-200A (80-100A idle) to support fans and pulleys. I'd spend that $200-250 for the pulley on something else. Like tuning, LTs, stall, etc.
The 8-12rwhp can be attained elsewhere.

What else should I do to get better performance out of it, should I try selling some of the stuff I already got to get something better ? Some of my friends tell me to get some gear's, my truck came stock with 3.42 limited slip. I was thinking of getting some 3.73's or should I go with the 4.10's ? Please help ! Thank's. . .
