I've got kind of an oddball question.. So I have no experience installing hydro boost units, but I've been reading up on it. You need the pump, booster, lines, pedal, etc... Well, in order for my accessory drive to work, I need to pick up a camaro powersteering pump and bracket... Is there anyway to install a hydro boost set up on my truck if I'm running a camaro steering pump? If I get a cam with decent lift, I was looking into the hydro boost as a fix for any braking issues with low vacuum, as well as for the massive improvement in braking in general... Any ideas?

The problem is your tank has the return style bucket, which is very small and difficult to fit dual pumps. I recommend finding a return-less style fuel tank and swap the whole thing and modify that bucket for dual pumps. The tank fits the same. I did this as well and I have some details of the bucket on this forum.
So Brandon and I have been talking about this. We are both shooting for something between 800-850hp. As stated before he is supercharged and I'm turboed. Almost exact same builds, even our cams are going to be just a few degrees off from each other.

Anyways, I was originally going to go with dual 400's but after reading through Atomics spreadsheet and posts, I think I am going to do dual 340's. The 340's will still give both of us room to grow a little, and Brandon already has one 340 installed now. The 400's will only give us an extra 30hp to grow on over the 340's with the 102# injectors. I am going to go with the 95# @43.5psi fic injectors. They say they only flow 102#@58psi, but that will be more than enough since I will be pump limited anyways.

My question is about the dual pump install. I am pretty sure that our original return buckets will fit the dual 340's in them with no problem. I found these brackets on racetronix's website that mount the pumps together and they have a billet coupler that is basically a y for the fuel lines. I figured I could try out the mounting brackets they have. There is a top and bottom bracket and the y fitting. Have any of you guys used these pieces to hold the pumps together and mount them?

And how do you secure the pumps to the bucket? I have read many post about this and seen a few just use zipties to the side of the bucket. Any better suggestions on securement?

Where should the sock filters go? One through and under the bucket and one inside the bucket? Or both out the bottom of the bucket? I am planning on using the stock supply line as the return and running a new #8 supply up to the rails.

Sounds about like we talked about right Brandon?

You're gonna go ahead and get the 95# injectors huh? I was thinking of getting the 80s, as they are lots cheaper and that'll still support 883hp. But it does make sense to do your fuel system once and have it built for any future plans, such as a 427

Yeah, I am going to go with those injectors. I really like the fact that fic gives you the hpt info for their injectors. It made my 60@3bar injectors really easy to install.

*UPDATE
Got ahold of Joe at Left Coast 32 and he's gathering everything I need for the 8rib hybrid drive. We're discussing where to start with the pulley for the 2300. If I run the biggest RIP pulley they offer, I'll be around 15psi with my OD cogs and OD damper. He said I'd see around 24psi or so with a 2.9" pulley. But he said e wouldn't advise that. Haha. I'm definitely gonna start small and creep up into boost. It's just a 370 with a forge bottom end, not an LSX block. So I definitely don't want to over-do it.
Also gonna get ahold of Ray and get a spacer for the 2300. Still debating if I want to run a 102 TB or stick with a 90...
Also talked to Brian Tooley and he spec'd out a cam for the build.
223/238 .610/.585 LSA 115+4 custom grind
He said its got no over lap and sounds pretty healthy. It's similar to the blower cam he offers on the website, but has a few changes to help move the 5000 truck.
I've heard stories of PTV clearance issues when running LS3 heads and bigger cams with flat top pistons. I'll be sure to check this when assembling. I've got -2cc valve reliefs by I think I'll be fine. Also, I'm running comp 918 springs with a max lift of .625. Is this pushing it with a .610 cam?

Dual springs for safety. I don't want to risk a broken spring dropping a valve.

-edit get the springs from Tooley with your cam. Great products. But you already know that.

Lol. Yeah. He said he recommends getting those out ASAP. He's had customers break 918 springs with a stock LS9 cam.
