Default Need Insight: H/C 6.0 LQ4...With a Maggie

Hello Everyone,

Im in the process of seeling my 1972 nova, and when its gone Id like to do a little open heart on my RCSB.

What id like to do is a TVS(not sure which Size) Lq4, and some head and cam work. My question is what heads and cam work well with the lq4 topped with a roots blower?

Id like top see some setups and opinions on this. Im not extrmely worried about the overall price, Id like to keep the budget around 15k tho.

Thanks for the insight

What are your goals for this? Strip only, daily driver, etc...

tvs1900 with an lq4, gt2-3 cam, and worked 317 heads would be a solid DD setup with tons of power. The 317s are the stock 6.0 heads.

ooo okay. No the truck is a sunday driver, looking to make big but dependable power. I seen some talk on modded l92 heads and people seem to like those.

L92s are great heads with huge valves, but are a bit expensive. The 317 heads are very good as well and lots of guys have made plenty of power with them.

Cool project.

I will let ya know what a cammed stock headed LQ4 with a TVS 1900 makes on the dyno next month when i can get it there.

I can tell you now at 4.5 psi my rear tires are pissed.

I think your gonna have a FUN truck!
