I'm also interested in the quietest muffler possible. I don't care how big it is, but it needs to FLOW baby. Are the duramax mufflers 3" or 4"? What about a Cummins or Powerstroke muffler?

mine aint super quiet but it aint obnoxious. mild 6.0 with lts, no cats, dual 3 merging into y, 3.5 out to 22 hooker aero chamber (which has had its 3 inlet/outlet opened up to 3.5), 3.5 diesel mandrel bent exhaust pipe over axle and dumped into 3.5 to 4 resonator tip... accelerates greats with no drone and no rasp. again, it aint super quiet but it aint obnoxious....rob (956) 802-7700.

Just want to say. Don't take these guys serious. You're going to get some feedback you don't like but no one is calling you stupid. It's just nature to dismiss what you don't understand.

That said. As bill stated, the CTS-V is Crank hp, not Rear Wheel. You COULD check out getting a CTS muffler but either way, getting quieter than stock is going to be tough to achieve.


High flow cats seem to be a good suggestion and go with mufflers as big as you can imo

Where did you find the resonted tip??.. That will surly be my fix to my horrible part throttle crack...
