or you could go the route of a tuune... that in turn will set you up for some future mods as well.

An STS kit might be "affordable" when compared to other FI kits, but it's hardly "cheap."

If i did an sts kit, i would need a tow rig for my tow rig because im an animal! id never stop, im tring not to do anything to the truck, but i just have to!!!!
right now tires are stock, but BFG's are going on and a 3" lift in a couple weeks. then i was going to throw a t-stat and a tune, then i was thinking e-fans, then a set of cheep headers and a retune. i was thinking total with all the about 20 more rwhp would be a good guess. and it would run me about 1500 bucks. (i know a tuner who will tune cheep!!!)

A cam would really wake that truck up! And, it's a lot easier to do a cam swap in a truck than in an F-body FWIW.

I thought about a cam, but its still big $$$$ i have a set of valve springs, but they would be to much for a truck cam, and i have 3 ls1 cams that would be no good in the truck, so by the time i buy cam springs, push rods, im looking at 1000 bucks, then i need to pull it apart, and so on. all for what, about 10-20rwhp? im thinking bolt ons, and if a sponsor wanted to hook me up with an sts kit i would be more then happy to try it out.

You could run the Comp 212/218 low lift w/ some Z06 springs...they go used on here really cheap. You could probably pick one up for $200-250 or less.

I got 31rwhp from this cam in my 4.8 on stock exhaust manifolds. With a tune and headers (and the better heads), I'm sure that it would really wake up that 6.0L.

noyzee- i would get a cam, headers and have Don at Dez Racing tune it. I believe that he is only like 1hr 15 mins from where you are. Also you could look into having some head work. And i would use any aftermarket parts that are left over from the Z28.
