Need More power!!!!!

I would not open motor up either as it will disturb emissions and change torque curve as well by raising it even higher in RPM range. You need to make better use of current power curve and gears would help that a lot because a 6.0 needs to be turning a lot faster than a oil burner to make its best power under load.

Yeah if this is somehting you might be getting rid of I would do a tune, complete exahust(header, intake, muff ) and fans. That will for sure will give you some very nice extra punch plus your mpg would rise quite a bit! Then if you do get rid of the truck you can easily sell those parts on this site!

Not really and not for 9k trailer. Your engine is well below best torque even in drive at 60 to 65 and even more below in OD. These RPM numbers might look good for a Dmax that peaks its torque round 2200 and power peaks by 3000rpm but not for a gasser that power peaks around 4600 or so and torque peaks above 3000 RPM. With you pull your 300 hp 6.0 at 2600 RPM or so in drive you have maybe 160hp availble at that RPM and at 2200 or so pulling a trailer in OD, you are lucky if it is making 120 hp if that at all. (with 4.56's at same speeds you will make about 30 to 40 more HP to have on tap because engine is further into it's power band and a simular boost in OD too) This is why diesel seem to pull my better power aside, it is because their gearing is better suited for their power curve when towing. Gear a gasser correctly and it may never match the MPG of a diesel towing but it wil come prety close in towing power. 300 HP is 300HP as long as your vehicle is gear properly to use it. Through is a custom tune and add even more yet and you will think you dropped in a big block (almost anyway)

If you do a cam, then you don't need to worry about rockers.
Electric fans from LT1-LS1 $120(maybe less)
Headers $200-$1200 depending on the brand that you choose
Tune DEFINATELY. These trucks are very de-tuned from the factory.
Asp pulley sounds like a good idea.
Other than that I would definately do a shift kit since you do a lot of towing.
