Need more power for pulling, 03 5.3 silverado
Alright a guy i work with was askin me what he could do to get a little more pulling power. He has a stock 03 5.3 silverado and he wants to keep the warranty. He was askin me about intake/exhaust and i told him with just a CAI and catback that he probably wouldnt notice too much of a difference when pulling. I dont really know trucks, really just cars, but i'd imagine its not an insane difference.
What should i tell him? He just wants more pulling power, keep decent gas mileage (so gears probably not high on the list), and wants to keep the warranty.
Also, i told him Magnaflow would probably be his best bet if he really wanted to do a catback. He doesnt really want the sound, like i said, just the pulling power.

Ill tell him about the gears. I didnt think about grears till we were off so i didnt get to mention it to him. I assume he wouldnt because of the mileage but ill definately mention it.
So was i right? Small bolt ons (intake, catback) arent realy gonna give a noticeable difference.
Would a cam void the warranty?
Also, did a quick search on RADIX, but didnt really figure out what it is. Can you help me out?

remember the lower gears will get better gas mileage in town and worse on the highway
the radix is a roots-hybrid supercharger system, buy the kit and that is ALL you need, come with a tune, injectors, fuel pump booster, everything, very popular
cam might void the powertrain part of the warranty but the warranty is already gone unless he bought a extended waranty?

Not sure about the warranty. I mentioned a cam and he just said "Well i dont wanna void the warranty". Didnt know if it would or not, and didnt ask about what kind of warranty was on it.
The Radix is definately out of his price range. Im thinkin he just wants to do simple stuff, which to me, gears would be the best thing he could do.
