i have 5.3L with longtubes and an offroad y-pipe all coming out of a flowmaster 40series 3in coming in and dual exits. would a magnaflow dual in and dual out be better as far as louder and performance wise. Or should i stick with what i have. Its really loud the way it is but if there is something better out there i would probably want to go with that.

any muffler ideas?

 

that flowmaster is alot to be desired in flow numbers. It is loud though. You could get a magnaflow but usually they are alot quieter. I personally don't like the sound of them. I use bassani but that weird for most around here. I like loud also, but I like the flow also, that's why I run bassani custom mufflers. You could try a number of mufflers, but if you do like the flow sound I would probably go with some sort of race muffler, but their willbe people with alot of opinions on what to go with here. good luck.

 

If you like the sound of flowmaster but want more/better flow I would do something a Bullet muffler or Borla XR1. It will be a bit louder but still give you that same aggressive sound just better straight through flow than the flowmaster. I run the same setup on my 6.0 and Im going with a Magnaflow or Borla XR1.
