I think that's kind of a lame law that you are unable to buy used cats at a salvage yard, but what do I know.

No. I took my old cats that were clogged up to the iron & metal scrap yard and got money for them. I had to cut them out of the Y pipe before I took them in. They don't sell anything. They recycle the metal. Then they wrote down my address and phone # and finger printed me then gave me the $70 for my old clogged up kitties. I bought a new magnaflow Y pipe with cats.

I work at a shop so we replace cats all the time. Mine were clogged and I got 160 for mine here in oregon. Plus the scrap guys that comes around to my shop gives me 6 bucks for 02 sensors. Just thought I would put in my 2 cents in from the NW.
