Default Need some direction on budget 6.0 build

I've been doing some research but everything on here seems pretty application specific. I have an 05 ECSB 4x2 that I'm looking at replacing the 5.3 with a 6.0. It won't see the track, it just feels so much slower than my previous tuned 300zxtt. This will be a year round DD. I'm not interested in peak HP bragging rights, I would like a nice fat curve over peaky HP. The motor is an LQ4 (9's bring blood around here). I don't want to go too radical, I'm looking at changing the cam, headers, torque converter, and doing a Black bear tune. If someone could offer some advice and direction I'd really appreciate it.

For your goals, I'd recommend a cam in the 212/218 .55x/.55x 114-115 or 216/22x .55x/.55x 114-115 range. If your budget is really tight, just get the heads milled about .030-.040 to bump up the compression a tad, but if you can spring for it, I'd recommend some WCCH StageII 317's. A torque converter in the 2600-3000 range should match the above mentioned setup, and a good trans cooler, shift kit and servos are needed in the trans at the very least. The trans may or may not last behind a healty 6.0 though, so set some cash aside for a built unit just in case...or do the trans first. There's many options for headers, search some threads here and you'll find a plethora of information. PaceSetter (mild steel and coated), LPP (stainless), and OBX (stainless) are all around $500, and Stainlessworks, ARH, and Dynatech are the more expensive stainless systems, but they all look to be top quality. I have StainlessWorks myself and am extrememely happy with them

I'm doing a similar build, only I have an LQ9, which will be getting a Crane/Vinci 216/224 551/551 115, WCCH stageII 317's, 8.1 truck injectors (29.9#) ,my StainlessWorks LT's and catted y-pipe, Volant CAI with ram air, FLT Level5+ trans, Circle D 2600-2800 triple disk, factory 3.73, eventually a trutrac, and a BlackBear tune
