Need some info on mods for my 5.3

Get a nelson tune he can retune it for you after the cam swap and trust me you wont be disappointed. A stall will make a huge differnce down low. If you are looking for faster acceleration get 3.73 gears a mild 2500ish stall nelson tune exhuast(no flowmasters if you want performance) intake really isnt worth the money do a home depot intake you can do a search for how people have done their homemade intakes. With my setup mods in my sig netted me a 15.1 and thats on a 145000 mile engine too so Im at about the same weight as you so that should give you some idea as to what is needed. Seirracrew is a good guy and can point you in the right direction for your truck. Oh and welcome to the site. Let the addiction begin I promise you want stop at the cam swap.

Yeah, we can meet up sometime and you can check her out. I put my bitch on a diet this weekend. She lost 150 #'s in 2 days, thanks Megashake. lol. Lost the hitch, rear bumper, and spare tire, so she looks a little incomplete til I get my roll pan painted.
If it were me, I would do the Tune pretty early on. Cause if you change gears you'll need a tune and so forth with a cam, headers, etc.... I would do an intake and exhaust at the same time, they seem to complement each other well. I agree, no flowmaster, and you can pick up an intake off ebay for about 50 bucks too that IMO works just as well as the high dollar stuff. I did not install the cam myself, not that talented nor do I have the space living in an apartment. I took it to G-Force in Pearland/Friendswood off of 2351.
I agree a stall will get ya going, and gears would be good. My parents have an 05 crew cab with 3.23's and its a turd and a half. Get some good tires too, you'll need them. As far as HRP, just say the word, I'm sure we can get some guys lined up to go with ya. I'll probably be going soon anyways, as soon as my slicks get here.

I know about the addiction problem. I ordered my Powerstroke, and BEFORE it got here, I had in my garage waiting: Full Exhaust, air intake, Bullit fuel door, Mag Hytec Diff cover, gauges, and a tool box. When the truck got here, I went from the dealer to a shop (Diesel Innovations), and we did a custom 4 position chip for it, then went and had the windows tinted, and spray in liner. When I got it home, I did the exhaust, and the rest. So with @100 miles on the truck, and in 2 days, all that was done. Then I blew up the stock tranny doing Top Fuel Burnouts in the Hooter's parking lot with 37K on it. Oh yeah, my truck was a Dually, 4 tire burnouts are COOL!!! So, when, I got this truck, I said I would not mod it. Well, I picked it up in late Dec, and 7K miles later, I can no longer resist the urge to mod.

The supercharger is something I would like to do in the future, but I just had my first baby, and my wife is now a stay home Mom, so the funds are not what they used to be. That is why my Challenger is in the garage waiting, no money to finish right now, so I figured I coul have some fun with this truck in the meantime, without putting TOO much money into it

350-375 at the flywheel should not be a problem get a mild cam 212/218 is what im running some head work and an exhaust headers and mufflers and you should be there that is all i have minus a converter and i am pushing close to that so it should be pretty easy
