First time was the charm , based solely on my mods and some phone conversations. I am waiting for some 42# FMS injectors to show up and am going to have Allen tune for them AND the removal of all the Whipple craptronics. We will see what type of gains are to be had there as well.

Well, this is number 7 i think. And I hate to say, it seems to have gone right back to doing what it was before, just not as bad. I'm now thinking it's not the tune. If anyone knows a mechanic in new england that would be able to diagnose the problem for me, PLEASE let me know.

I think my transmission or torque converter is fugged up. It runs fine until the converter locks up at 55mph.

hey denali, have you logged the timing when the tc locks up ?. like i said in the other post, your timing may be a bit off in that part of the table. ask allen, i'll give it some thought. how is it running now ?. e

of course, after i post this it will change, but, right now it's running very good. I have my pcm with your tune and I did the solenoid bypass thing, just put in semi-synthetic oil and it seems to be running like a champ. The hesitation seems to be gone. The tc lockup still blows, but, if that's normal, it's normal. I should have the SMC kit on soon. I'm just waiting for them to send it back to me.

Not trying to rob the thread, but when you ditched the Whipple computer how did you wire the injectors??? I am installing my Whipple tomorrow night and need to know what to do there.

You need to also install 43lb injectors in place of your truck's stock injectors. You don't need the auxillary injectors provided by whipple. No wiring involved for the install.

I enjoy reading your posts. I also have a dodge cummins that for a lot less money like a total of $2500 I ran 13.89 in the 1/4 thats a 6800 lb 4x4 truck. It dynoed at 423 hp and 872 ftlbs. After reading all of these post I have came to the conclusion that you get more bang for your buck with a diesel.

I am of the same opinion myself. If I had known all I do know when I 1st purchased my truck, I would have made different choices. I think many of us would have done the same. That being said, we all are trying to squeeze as much power out of what we DO have, as opposed to what we WISH we had. Your point is extremely valid, nonetheless.
