Exclamation New 350

ok so i just got a 350 out of a 97 pick-up i just looked up the casting numbers and it says.

its a 4 bolt main GEN 1 crate motor with ZZ4 roller cam. i am currently rebuilding the heads, i am gonna port and polish them and get heavier springs.

i am gonna rebuild the motor, after it is rebuilt i will be selling it.

i will also build the motor for you if your intrested pm me.

The '97 Truck 350 engine was a L31 with a 192/197 camshaft...far from the zz4 cam specs of 208/221. Plus the compression on the L31 is 9.4:1 to the ZZ4 of 10:1 as well as the zz4 having aluminium heads to the L31 vortec cast iron heads.

I'm with you, but if someone was to just look up the casting number, than indeed the same block casting was probably used for both.
