6L80 is the new trans in the Vettes right? They have the "paddle" shifters on the steering wheel??

Slightly beefed up 4L65E... which wasn't much more than a beefed up 4L60E.

That new 6.2 will supposedly be offered in the Denali and certain trim level Suburban... I do hope they put it in the next generation SS.

I don't see how considering the Vette is a transaxle car... not exactly a bolt in idea when you think of how different of an appliation that is. For that much trouble you'd be better off just building up a 65E to handle the abuse IMO.

one of the magazines I looked through at wallmart tested the new escallade. I was amazed at how fast that thing is!!! 14.8sec 1/4mile @95mph.

Thats pretty quick for a pig like the escalade... that thing is pulling all that luxury weight.

I wonder if this is the same motor they put in the Colorado Cruz in 2004. 6.2 rated at 420HP

the new denali has the 6.2 with 380 horse and over 400 lbs ft torque. The new lade has 405ish horse and 417 lbs ft torque.
