Default new exhaust, bad idea?

as of right now ive got stock manifolds and cats, going into 2.25" true duals to a spintech 9000 dumped ( until my roll pans painted, then its going to roll pan ), and i was looking at getting some long tubes. ive heard pacesetter are a PITA? but this is the set-up i was curious about, 1-3/4 long tubes into a ORY 3" into a single in dual 2.25 exit spintech.

the thing i wanted to know is am i losing anything by going from duals to a single 3"? from what i understand, which isnt much lol, is having a 2-1 or some type of X or Y or H gives better low end, but would i be better off getting headers, and just running true duals again with a H pipe or X pipe in it versus the ORY? because the ORY and a single in dual out muffler sounds alot chaper than duals, x pipe, and separate mufflers. my little 4.8 needs all the power it can get. lol

not to mention i feel the ORY versus duals would quiet it down a bit after the cats being gone and long tubes.

You'll definitely won't lose anything going to a single 3" vs. dual 2.25", and you'll see a gain from the LT's. It is cheaper, and it's probably a better setup for your truck unless/until you go FI. You'd probably actually see a little bit of a gain down low if you didn't have the true duals now, probably very very little, but something.

Long tubes and ORY will make it louder than it was before with the same setup, cats actually quiet it down. Plan on your exhaust being louder unless you're getting a bigger muffler.

i originally had the stock single 3 into a Y pipe to replace the muffler and ran dual 2.25 to the tips, when i had it changed to true duals, i thought it felt slightly sluggish, but i thought maybe it was just me because i was expecting some gains. instead it just made it EXTREMELY loud. it was amzing. lol but annoying on the interstate. thanks for the advice!
