Default new exhaust set-up need input.

Right now i have pacesetter LT's that i ran into an x-pipe then 2 bullet mufflers. The truck sounds mean as hell but im just not into loud anymore. Im going to redo the whole exhaust what do you guys think will give me the smooth, deep sound while cruising, then ***** to the wall loud when im on it. Id like to keep the exhaust set-up under $1500, any mufflers you like let me know.

1- Keep my x-pipe just run it out the back with 2 more mufflers where the spare used to be. (I dont know what mufflers to run need input)

2- Buy a new ORY and get the Gibson dual sport cat-back and run it out in the factory location.

3- New headers with CATS, into a 4" duramax exhaust ran out the rear in the factory location.

I think keeping your headers and ORY and get a corsa system. Everything I have heard is they are pretty nice when idling and cruising and then scream when you get on it. Also good for no drone

edit.. miss read your post.

So keep headers and get a new ORY and have that go into a Corsa system.

I'll be running the aero turbine muffler with attached resonator (AT4040XL)when i install my long tubes and ORY. I'll let you know how good/bad it sounds!

Also have you done any sound deadening in your truck?

I've been researching all the dynamat, fatmat, etc,.....

I'm going to try some of my left over sound suppressor underlayment from my flooring project and see how it works out. I got there best stuff and a 100sq-ft was about $80. WAY cheaper then dynamat, might work out good?who knows lol.

were they in a row or was it on a dual set-up slvyss? I had a single xr1 when my truck was a 5.3 with stock exhaust sounded good but there is no comparison between that motor and the new one.
