Default New exhaust setup...

So, now that the 5.3L is in and im finally getting my longtubes put on im looking at how i want to do the exhaust.

here's what im thinking...
LT's are 1 3/4 primaries with 3in collectors, 3in piping from the headers back to two 3in cutouts, then continue to a magnaflow 22in Dual in Dual out 3in muffler. The one with the built in X-pipe.

I can't decide whether or not to put the dual turnouts before the RR tire again or go over the axle with it and dump it.

Im up for any suggestions. I do not want it loud, i have the cutouts for that. Let me know what you guys think or suggest. Hell even post up some vids of your setups.

Thanks in advance guys.

I have LLP headers with 3" stainless dual exhaust running to a X crossover to a DI/DO 3" Magnaflow (12599) running out the back with 4" tips. It is all made of stainless, and I used V-band clamps. I absolutely love it. I had a Corsa on it, and it was honestly too loud for me. Everyone that has heard it loves the way it sounds. I will post up some pics, and unfortunately I don't have any video clips of it until next spring.

To me when you do a di/do muffler it kind of defeats the purpose of doing true duals...unless its the muffler your planning on using..If it were me I would run a x-pipe and then 2 18" magnaflows and run it over the axle...

i would run it back over the rear axle and dump it or run tips out the back similar to what cory has since when your cutouts are closed you obviously want it to be quiet lol..

all the di/do mufflers i have heard sound like ***... and dual 3in exhaust is WAY to much for your setup... keep it simple, run a 3" ypipe, 1 3" cutout (i will have my DMH forsale soon, once it gets back from dmh), then 1 22 3" muffler....

3" y pipe and a big 22" magnaflow dumped will be quiet, and you wont have to run tips, or even over the axle for that matter, which will be cheaper
