Default New injectors with new mods???

Wassssup ,

I am in the process of doing a 6.0 swap, cam ,heads etc, etc. I have a 99 Sierra and it has 19.x pound injectors. With all the new mods will it be a good upgrade one new injectors? I have heard the the FORD injectors work but what is all involved in this swap. I think Nelson sells the wiring adapters. Are the a straight bolt? My buddy has a new set of 42 pound Ford Racing injectors that I can pick up for a good price. Thanks in advance.

Danny

If you are keeping the 19 lb injectors from the sierra for the 6.0L swap, then yes defiently upgrade to something bigger.

Reasoning, my LQ4 which other than a few boltons is totally stock has 24.5 lb injectors and im getting in the 90-95% range in duty cycle @ 6200 rpms.

Yeah I kinda figured the 19 pound will not work too well with the new setup. 42 pound injectors will prolly be a little much too???

42 lb'ers are not too much, sure you wont need all that injector for now, but it gives plenty of headroom without overworking them too much. I myself am thinking about putting 42's or maybe even something along the line of 50's in later before i do a cam install just for safe measure.

You will need the new adpaters. The SVO 42s are 5/8" longer than the stubby truck injectors. So you'll need to fab some spacers. I got some 1/4" galvanized tubing at Lowes and cut spacers that go around the bolts that mount the rail. You'll also need bolts that same length longer. I forget the thread size, but you can take one with you and determine that way. Pretty easy swap. Make sure you get your tune updated also.

You could also get the 42lb MultecIIs from racetronix or Arizona Speed and Marine. They are direct p&p.
