See this is the issue.....I agree....these kits are nice and well made, but prices for power adders have been going through the roof for normal people like you and me...I can understand paying $2,000 to 3,500 for a forced induction system, but these prices are just nuts (probably also the reason Tom didn't post the price here, sending everyone flaming off)...man $6 grand is more than 20% of a new truck !! People are getting greedy like everywhere else.
quote:
Originally posted by JWRENCH:

I've been throught this. Bottom line: Forget your warranty when you significantly modify your vehicle. Especially a supercharger!! You will not get warranty on any drivetrain apt after this mod. Not unless you are willing to fight in court for your right and even then it is a shaky issue, left to interpretation and the judge. I had dealers even trying to refuse warranty repairs because of an aftermarket exhaust system. You know it is in the best interest of the dealer to deby warranty, don't you!
quote:
Originally posted by tbyrne:

Granted there could still be an issue because some techs are only trained to "put a puzzle together" so they only know how to work on a vehicle as it came from GM. Some mods would also add more time to a warranty repair. Some dealers may just charge for the extra time.

MagnaCharger has a warranty available that will cover the engine/transmission for a period of 3 years/36,000 miles. This is done through an outside insurance agency.

I talked with the service manager and their leading LS-1 tech. The Service manager told me this, around here we dont deny warranties. If you bring your super charger here we'll install it for you, same goes with a cam. I asked him if in doing this I could get a written statement that these parts would not void my warranty and he said it would be no problem.

Maybe my service department just kicks ***.......

Almost $6k for a blower? Holy sh_t. For the price of that and a new chevy/gmc, you can have a faster Ford for the same price.

Oh well, back to the trailer I go.

That's from your site. Might as well spend the extra 800 to make it look good if your gonna spend 5100. Not to mention adding for shipping.
