Hello all, i'm new to this forum and new to GM.
I figured post here and hear your advice.
My truck has only 3500 milies on, i did notice there is knocking sounds at cold start. I asked dealer service guy and he told me it is normal also mention that it will go away after 15~20 seconds. After research online, it sounds like common issue for vortec engines.
Mine isn't loud at all...but doesn't go away after 20~30 sec. But i can't hear it after drive for while tho.
For who has this similar issue, how do you guys handling this? I'm looking for mod my truck later, not crazy yet but who knows. Should i worry about it or just ignore and live with it.
For tranny, it's 2013 5.3 6 spds. Is this tranny call 4L80E? How much tq it can handle?
Thank you!
