broken number 7 pistions on boosted aplications is prety common too. if you had a tuning issue that let it run lean and it was detonating then you may have messed up the engine.

After reading this I smiled. My wife looked at me disgusted and asked how I could be happy about a blown engine. Ummm, 6.0L. I guess I better figure this problem out quick cause if it's not torn up yet I don't wanna give it the chance.

If You Think It Is An Inj. Problem Then Take #1 Inj. And Put It On #7.then If You Still Have The Miss Disconnect The Exhaust And See If It Goes Away If It The Converters It May Be To Late .

If I understand it correctly, it is the last in line of the fuel system. If you run out of fuel volume it will be the first to go lean. Also any contaminants that may make it to the motor would probably wind up here.

I have a guy who's going to look at it tomorrow. He is looking up bulletins right now. Anybody know the # bulletin that references this issue?
smells like a piston/ring BBQ to me. check for excessive crankcase pressure too. before my old 4.8 took a crap, it blew the dipstick out and progressed from there.

Have You At Least Took The Front O2 Sensors Out To Take Back Pressure Off The Motor. Have You Check The Plug.
What Dose It Look Like?
Compression What Is It?(compare It To The Rest On The Left Bank)
Move The #7 Injector To The #1and #1 To #7 See What That Does.

looks like sd155racer thought gm left the firing order alone.
GM did a 43-72 swap for the gen-3(LSx) engines. 18436572-18726543
I hear it smooths the torque curve???
