Default New thoughts on my exhaust

So my current setup is my Pacesetter LT's, PS catless Y-pipe back to a single 3" center in/center out Aerochamber muffler. The muffler sits roughly were the OEM muffler would be placed with the exhaust dumped right after the muffler. Now I love the sound and the loudness but it gets a bit raspy when I open it up over 4k. So what i've been thinking was maybe going to a Stainless Works chamber round muffler, has anyone run these before on an LS series engine? just wondering how they might sound and if it would cure my dilemma.

Thanks

I'm running that EXACT same setup, and mine gets pretty raspy too. I'd say changing to something else won't solve the rasp, but you might try installing a Magnaflow resonator or a Dynomax Bullet before the muffler to tone it down some.

Thats one thing i wanted to stay away from, I like where I have it dumped and definately the loudness is perfect. I think I might try out the 30/26" stainless works chambered muffler, the only thing I need to find out first is what core size it uses as I do not want to step down to anything below 3" core size and I thought some of their other mufflers utilized smaller core sizes compared to the inlet & outlet sizes.

Can you physically see that tip? does it extend below the bed?
Maybe I can get away with running a few more feet, I could atleast run it over the axle then dump it straight down.

Try experimenting with a little bit of pipe at a time, it will change the sound quite a bit.
