Default New times with TCI SF3000!

Went to the track with the new TCI SF3000...my best before the stall was a 9.59@74 and a 14.92@91 2.22 60ft...my new times are in the sig The converter was the best mod by far! Can't wait to get headers, pulley, and a posi!

Nice gain, almost half-a-second reduction in time from a TC. Makes me want to get one now!

How does it perform on the street? How does it lock up? I've heard some different things about the TCI stalls in trucks. What's the tow rating on it? A half a second reduction in ET is amazing, considering its 1/2 the price of the other converters like Yank and Vigilante!

Nice gains .... FWIW, I got a .7 reduction in my ET's with the converter and shift kit. I think the shift kit helped a little though, cause it will reduce the TQM. This was on an all bolt on truck. Volant, TOG headers, sing;e in/dual out flow40 and a 160* thermo.

The TCI SF3000 is very streetable...I'm not shure about the tow rating...I never tow anything so I wasn't worried about that part. It dosen't even slip that much. My buddy has a yank SS3800 in his Tran Am its supposed to drive like a 3000 stall with the 21 blade stator but it slips way more than mine and my truck weighs like 500lbs more. It locks up good and the shift extention is 4100-4200 rpm after a shift. I can stall it up close to 3k with nittos and I don't even have a posi. I bought mine from summit for $454...ya can't go wrong with that price!

Nice job!

The SS3800 definately doesn't drive like a 3000 stall in a heavy truck.

Thanks for the update, Pewter53. I recently purchased the same converter and was hoping I could see some improved times before I put it in.
