Default new truck need help with fuel saving mods!

I just bought a 2006 chevy crew cab 5.3 with 3.73 and a G80. The truck is on 20" rims and 275 60 r20's. the truck gets horrible gas mileage, I need help getting better mileage and mabe making the truck respond a little better. I was thinking long tube headers off road y, CAI, and a good tune? Im sure I need smaller tires as well but not sure what to go with.

+1 for a good tune! Went from 12/16 to 14/20 from a tune, feels like I picked up 20hp as well

depending if you do a lot of driving, 4.10s will really help your gas mileage and pep.

with that kind of mileage, I would have to say there is something else wrong.
check your plugs, and snag a good tune.
