Default newb with a silverado

hey guys i just got a white 06 regular cab silverado with a 4.8 v8 with 82k miles and im almost done with all the exterior stuff soo.....im about ready to start gaining some speed. my budget is somewhat low right now, so what are some good cheap mods that would make a noticible difference?

ive done some body stuff and put some 20's and a 1in2out flowmaster exhaust as of right now

Check sponsors to the right for the tune, Blackbear or Wheatley. As for the CAI, search this site for "home made CAI" for info on how to make one at home for the best bang for the buck, or you could get the AirRaid tube and drop in filter. Ebay sells cheap CAI systems too. I've had the K&N FIPK, and currently have a Volant system with ram air tube. Both systems performed the same, but they're a little pricey. I like the Volant better since it's sealed off from the engine bay and is more asthetically pleasing, but the price is up there, especially with the addition of the ram air tube.

I had a true flow intake before, it was nice but my K&N FIPK works better. Most intakes will yeild the same results, so pick one you like and is priced good.
