Default Newby here, got?

I'm getting out of the hot rod diesel scene,(too costly) I currently have a twin turbod 05 quad cab cummins 4x4 that 8.20s on fuel only, in the 1/8 mile, and have become interested in a 1/2 ton 6 liter swap on a 99 or newer chevy, so my question is what would it take to get in th 12s with a daily driver, be it a single cab or a extended cab.

Thanks, Charlie

Welcome!
Lots of information here, dont be afraid of the search button.

To get you started a cam 220+, stall, and boltons will get you there. you will also want to look into upgrading the tranny

Also be sure to pay attention to peoples Sigs. A lot of members post their times or show times on the left, and have mods listed.

Welcome to PT.net

With a reg cab you should have no problem getting in the 12's with boltons and a few tranny upgrades. There are quite a few threads on this very subject, take your time and read a bit

Welcome, you can get there with a bolt on 5.3, with bolt ons, even deeper if you squeeze it... With a 6.0 cam, stall, headers, a good tune, you should be set, but any way you go, look into a trans and rear
