I think you're mis-understanding Krambo's post. You won't be able to run any better spark/timing with the TR6s. You're actually going to lose power and MPGs in NA form. The only reason Krambo installed TR6s was to get his base set for his DP N2O kit.

In the end it's your truck... run what you want. But don't think running a colder plug is going to be the answer to your detonation problem.

I have been trying to understand the whole plug thing forever now. I was told by my tunner as will as this link http://www.ngk.com/charglossary.asp?kw=Heat+range to run a colder heat range when you start messing with timming and adding power. Take a look at the site and tell me what you think. By the advice of my tunner I have tr-6's in both my moded lq9 and my bolt on 5.3. I will say I get crap for milage in the dd 5.3 cc but I was getting crap before the plug swap. I may consider trying tr-55 in the 06 but Im torn as for as the 02 lq9 goes.

Thanks Jordan for expanding...you are correct, I am just prepping for the N2O. If I was strictly N/A, I would run the 55's. \

On thing I did notice with the colder plugs is with my hot start idle. It actually takes a tad longer to fire with the TR-6 plugs.
