Hitman, thanks for the help but could you look at your diagrams one more time and tell me which way the 4th apply pison faces? I have the protruding center facing out towards the cover. Is this right or should the flat side be towards the cover.

Well damn these pics in here have two different ones.

From when I pulled my old one out...I believe the side with the little ~1/8" bump goes towards the case. But that other part is in backwards for sure.

Don't ya love fixing stuff that is a super PITA to work on?

Man, your question about that OD servo perplexed me all day today. I do remember that it needs to be farily tight against the rest of the servo pack.

Any updates on the problem...?

Hit Man, i went out there this morning and messed with it. as you and BigKID discussed, it was the fins/ribs that were backwards. also the other piece you two were talking about was turned around. well, after i installed everything back in, the od works. shifts are precise. all in all, things seem well. thanks for all the help.

Glad it finally worked out for you...I still think any trans work other than fluid change is best left to an ASE trans guy. They are too complicated for me.

Good luck!

yea, i'll never mess with another tranny. i guess that's why it cost so damn much to have one rebuilt. you definantly need to know what you are doing.
