the extra lift, lower duration and ALOT tigher LSA, which increased the DCR and overlap... The truck has alot better midrange and topend with the new cam.. I did try to redyno it, but my verter kept screwing up, but he took it up to 6400 and it was still climbing!

Hey Corey, your TSP 5.3 heads are a piece of ****. I'd be willing to bet that you actually lost power over the stock heads!

Meanwhile, I can barely break 380 hp with a high compression 6 liter, a healthy high lift cam, and ported corvette heads, thru a manual transmission!

no use in putting heads on that flow good at .600 and not using them. your problem is a poorly matched combo. cam needs more lift to use the flow the heads can provide. you gearing and tire size is killing your performance and your dyno numbers. cam swap and gear change should give you VERY noticeable results. or a cam swap and a stall if you are dont want to swap gears. 1st option will probably be cheaper than the second.

damn thats 2 votes for cam swap, just barely got 1000miles on this cam, man i hate when shops give you bad advice, i was told that the extra lift wasnt gonna be that noticeable and big lift cams were mainly for ppl that didnt run big duration and were trying to compensate. well maybe back to the drawing board. damn that means re tune too... gay...$$$ pit lol. well i'll just have to live with it for the summer, maybe christmas will be nice to me. well how bout some larger ratio rockers??

I wonder what the tr220 would have put down with that combo. Also what compression are you at right now?

i only turn 2400 rpm at 65 with 4.56s with 29in tire. with your 32 in tire it would prolly be around 2100-2200 rpm..if your worried about economy dont be modding your truck.. just my opinion. lower gears and bigger converter you will be able to spin your tires
