Default O.K to drive 500+ miles with STS running lean?

Dumb qustion right? LOL Please read why.
Well I've been haveing trouble with the truck running lean, I'm on my seconed Nelson tuned ECM and I'm still seeing (With my hand held programer) about 25 deg long term trim and anywhere from -7 to 25 deg short term trim. My wide band stays around 14.1 until the meth starts to be injected around 3psi. The turbo spools up to quick with the TPS past 70% to watch the wide band and with out meth and I get alot of detination
I just ordered a HPTuner and will have it for the drive home. I really want to take the truck, but it's five hundred miles there (Utah) Should I?

You should be fine if you just turn the waste gate down so you don't boost more than a couple lbs. LOL

What's it do when you turn the boost way down or dump more meth?

Well the seconed ECM has way more timing in it and has a crank relearn that needs to be done so I haven't played around with the meth on the second one. The first tune from Allen, I got the knock under control and watching the Wide band at 5PSI it would drop around 10.1. Without meth at five PSI it would stay around 15.1 and I get all kinds of knock.
One more question, I just ordered the standered HPTuner with out the 2 bar upgraded. Will I beable to use it on a Nelson tuned ECM?

Don't know if this helps or not, but when I work in NASCAR are engine tuner showed me how he read plugs. He uses a small magnifying glass like a doctor uses to look in your ears and looked down inside the plug at the base of the porcelain. If it was white, BAD. If it had a light brown ring, ok. If it was a dark brown ring too rich. Is there was little speckles on it, it had to much timing.

As far as driving it for your trip. I think you would be fine, along as you don't hammer on it. The computer will stay in closed loop and maintaining the 14.7 to one as best it can. Only when you run it hard, I think something like 75-80% throttle or more, does it kick out of closed loop into open loop and run strictly off the preset timing and fueling tables. Other wise its constantly adjusting its self for 14.7 to one. If it was me wanting to make he trip, I would do it, just run premium fuel. I ran my truck for 2 week being easy on it waiting for my tune.
