no i had a plug wire not pushed all the way on. its running good now but its raining so i can't tell if i gained much power because it just spins. i think i might have it tuned this week anyways though

98/2 is pretty hard to control the weld, get a tri-mix with helium. running tri-mix keeps it a little hotter and IMO it's just as easy as MIG welding carbon steel.

btw, sorry to jump on a little late.
you can also stick weld SS. 308L is the wire you'd need to mig that stainless on the y pipe too.
