Is this fitting a bit smaller than what is on top of a typical "truck" intake?
Is there any chance you have a description of what that part is really supposed to fit? Maybe give me a clue of what this intake I have is really off of...
I could always try to take a picture of what I'm working with and upload it to try to clarify...
I was really hoping it was just a fitting with a barb like old style. Not sure how I'll hook up my catch can now if the fitting is 1 pc with a hose already... might have to cut the hose and use a male/male barb fitting or something...? huh...

You were right Robert, looks like that is exactly what I need. Kind of odd how it looks so long on the intake end though, wonder why it needs to stick down in there so far?
Anyway, still gotta figure out how to put a catch can in line with that plastic hose though... any ideas?

Everybody just cuts the tube and slides the ruber hose over the end. Seems to work well. As for the length of the nipple going into the intake, I suspect it houses a check valve or maybe the fixed orifice since there is no longer one in the valve cover.

I just went to a local dealership.... didn't have one so I gotta wait until Tuesday, damn. Was only $8 though, which is surprising to me since another little hose I need that goes from intake to remote evap unit is like $38!!??
And now I wonder if having two check valves in line will be bad, since I will still be running mine in my valve cover???

Hey Robert, or anyone else, could you tell me a part number for this hose I circled in this photo? It's the one I was referring to in my above post about it being way more expensive than I had expected.
If you're looking at the GM diagram for intake parts, I believe it is #729 on that diagram.
Does $38 sound standard for that hose? And anyone know if it would hook up to an older "truck" style evap that traditionally went straight into the intake manifold?
btw, that intake pictured is NOT my intake, just a photo I got off of ebay because it showed the hose I'm now looking for....

I can't see the picture you posted but it sounds like you are now describing the purge solenoid hose. It is #12574897 on a NNBS and it does list for $38.
You probably wont be able to use your old GMT800 purge solenoid though so I recomend you pick up one of those as well.(#12597567, you can tell them you were quoted 30.84 by another dealer)

Certainly, It's a GM# 19244505 or Delco# D1818A with a list price of $77.72. Because it is a Delco part you may find very competitive pricing online but if your just wanting to pick it up at the dealer you can reference a quote for $54.40(wholesale price).
