I disagree, an oil cooler is a good idea no-matter how your engine breaths. A thermostatic control maybe a good idea depending on individual set-up.

i am installing a small oil cooler on my 04, but i do have more than stock motor. it is always a good idea to add a cooler- helps take load off radiator. mine is fairly small. just the tiny tranny cooler the shop installed when they built my tranny. upgraded tranny cooler to trucool 40k.
