Ok, getting the 02' Z06 cam for sure now!
My buddy bought a 02' Z06 cam from Brandon (out of Don's car) and proceeded to smoke me like I was standing still in his 02' HD Silverado ext. 4X4. Sooooo now he wants something even bigger so ordered a new 223/226 cam and is gonna sell me the Z06 cam for $150 AND install it with me for free!!!
I been messing around with the new G-Timers we got at the shop and this thing is even more accurate than my old G-Tech. I made a bunch of runs last night in the fog and ran 15.1@89mph 2.1 60' (58deg temp)everytime up and down the road (3/4 tank gas, big tires, full stereo, tailgate etc.). I swapped tires this morning to the smaller stock size (54lbs vs 65lbs ea.) and 1" shorter. I then ran a few times on the way to work this morning down Hwy 65 and ran 14.82-.87@91mph each time on a 2.04-.07 60' (54deg temps). This timer is sweet! My change since the track was to get rid of my low octane table which messed my times up bad.
Soooo all this means that baring any hang-ups I should be able to easily run 14.5s with the cam and electric fans NP. Which will mean low 13s on a 100-150hp wet-kit! Maybe even better once I get lighter rims and better tires!
Sorry this is not a very informative post (other than how well the new G-Timers work) but since ya'll are truck guys I know you can understand my enthusiasm
