Default is it ok to reuse mls manifold gaskets if they are separated

In the process of installing my headers, as I took the stock manifolds off I realized the OEM MLS gaskets were in 2 pieces. The driver and passenger side are the same. It looks like that came apart at a couple little spot welds. Looks like as long as I line them up they will still hold up. I'm sure they are still better than what came with the headers.

you can, but it isn't really recommended, although I have. For the $25 that I paid for oem gaskets, I figured it was worth the insurance.

I've reused 3 sets without issues. Always put some copper sealant around them though

Do what joey said, it's been done, but I just don't see the need to be that cheap. Not on that amount of money. Many people will tell you they reused them, and had no issues.

Honestly I would agree with this.. For the extra money it's not worth the potential problems.

You guys make it sound like changing gaskets on an exhaust manifold is an expensive and laborious task lol... I have reused them I don't know how many times with my turbo setups. And replacing one takes only like 15 minutes.

You make it seem like it's a really expensive part...some people's time is worth more...why not just do it in the beginning and be done?

Its not expensive. Maybe I've just thrown too much money away at the suggestion of other people. Having monkeys rebuild your transmission a dozen times when they say YOU HAVE TO USE ALL THESE BRAND NEW PARTS and then they **** up something else and waste the money you spent on all the bullshit at their request... Its just not cost effective.
