Default Ok whats the deal on the Defected brokin comp 918's

I have tried to get in touch with comp to no avail. My springs are infact the ones thats dark with the blue stripe. I have read that some of them and the ones with the green stripe are the bad batches. Also what kinda time does it take for these to fail, I have mostly read within the first 20min-hour, or after a few heat cycles. I have had mine in for a good while, it has seen it share of redline, so does that mean that I don't have the defected ones or that I have been lucky..

is it worth the risk?..took me quite a while to get a hold of them i had to wait an hour to talk to some one..just ask for the warrenty department..they will want to charge it to your credit card and when they get your old springs they will take it off..im just sending my old springs with an rma number on the box and they will send me new ones

Pull the valve covers and look CLOSELY. They break along the first coil from the top, and usually the broken piece stays in place. If you have a broken spring, the retainer will be slightly off center. I bet a broken spring could last 1000's of miles, but eventually, the retainer will shift and screw itself into the broken spring until I blew my engine because of those POS springs. I had a broken one on each head.

Mine were batch 049045.

Also, look above the word batch for the code date. Mine were made on the 154th day of 2006.

Post up your numbers for comparison.

Please take the time to check the springs and let me know what you find. 30 minutes to check is much better than the 20+ hours I spent repairing mine.
