ok how's this sound for a 402
i think i about got my mind made up. heres the run down on what i'm thining.
texas speed parts: "H" scat rods 429, diamong -15 dish pistons 589 cam bearings 25
sdpc parts: eagle crank 780, main and rod bearings 126, rings 120.
parts direct 6.0 block 620
i've looked, read, looked, and researched and these are the best prices i've found does this look like a good combo??
for now i will have to use my cam in sig and ls1 heads. will they be ok to use?

Sounds good to me.
With the piston at 0 deck hieght with .054 headgaskets and 62cc combustion chambers you are looking at about 10.34CR sounds streetable when it comes time for FI you need to pick up a set of 6Ls which would give oyu 9.39. The pistons may actually be out of the hole a little mine were .008 out which would make you ahve 10.52CR what CR are you looking for?

A lower compression such as 9:1 will obviously not run as hard as the 10.5:1. You need to build the shortblock for what your future plans are. You will ahve to sacrifice power now for the turbo later you cant ahve it all when you are trying to do it how you are.
A set of 6L heads with the pistons at 0 deck hieght with 20cc inverted domes and the stock .054 headgasket thickness that will put you right at 9:1CR. There is no way around it man you are going to ahve to spend the money for the 6L heads you can put the LS1s on the setup I described and that would net you a 9.84:1CR which would be good for now till you go turbo then do the 6L head swap that is what I would do.
