Open headers....Low end torque?
I opened up my headers tonight to get ready to go to the track on saturday. Will this hurt my low end torque? It feels slower from like 0-20mph, but that may be just because it's so loud and seems like it should be faster. What you guys think?

Re: Open headers....Low end torque?
i'm confused on this too. if yur exaust is too open you lose low end torque. however if you use a cut-out (which is by far got to be the free-est flowing "exaust" possible) you gain HP and torque. how's that work?

Re: Open headers....Low end torque?
I believe you will gain HP and TQ with open exhaust but the gains will be at the upper end of the RPMs (great at the strip-crappy on the street). Low end TQ will suffer with open exhaust. You can't have it all <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
