Looking around local and found a complete long block 6.0 with intake, fuel rail, injectors, coil packs, etc. for $1200. It does have 50,000 miles on it and doesn't have a starter or a alternator. I priced those and can get them for about $75.00 each. Should I ****** this up quick?

 

that is the about the going rate around here. i got my last motor set up like you describe for $1100. it also had 50k on it. i put it thru hell and it keeps on running.

 

Thanks Parish, I appreciate the input. My '01 2500hd has 94k on it, towed about 20k with it, still strong as hell. This motor will be for my Big bad turbo Buick project with my pt-72 turbo. Can I use the stock truck harness or does someone make a chopped up aftermarket versio with ECM?

 

Painless and a company called Street & Performance make aftermarket harnesses that get rid of a lot of the crap you don't need. i'm not sure if they come with a computer or not though...
