Well everyone is telling me to avoid the flowmaster exhaust and go with corsa or magnaflow. I plan either way getting the magnaflow x pipe and probably next month i will get asm headers. Should i go with corsa and how does it sound on a 6L? I drove the gibbs truck and the corsa sounded pretty damn good on the 5.3-just wondering cause it is pretty expensive and i want the power but also sound as well!!

 

I love mine! IMO, you get what you pay for. Since you test drove one with the 5.3 you know theres no drone at all and she screams at WOT. With the 6.0, she'll be a good bit louder. There's some sound clips on Corsa's website...http://www.corsaperf.com/flashdenali.htm

 

Yeah but i had a 5.3 01 silverado with a 2 chamber flowmaster dumped and it sounded so good plus with my plans for a roll pan it look better.

 

The way the corsa kit comes you could avoid putting the tips on and it would be like a dump at the rear. At least on the side exit, I'm not sure about the rear dual exit. You may also need to add a turn down if you do this, but I think it should be possible.

 

I have a denali with a whipple and the street exhaust was WAY to loud for me I dont really mind loudexhausts. Kinda sounded like open headers to me. I swapped it out for the touring edition, and am much happier with it. The excessive sound could may be have been cause by the supercharger though.

Ive heard the borla on a denali, and it sounded nice!

I liked the exhaust. Fit and finish were great. Sounded great at anything over half throttle.

What bothered me most, was lugging the motor up hills or around town. It sounded like a farm tractor gurgling up hills.

Basically, the exhaust was real quiet at anything under 1/4 throttle. Anything over, and you were making a lot of noise.

 

Ive heard that the Corsa is a great system. I dont think it flows any better than my magnaflow and Im confident it doesnt sound better. At about half the cost the magnaflow was a pretty easy decision. Besides, it leaves more money for other mods.

 

 

I've got a corsa on the burb and love it, although when I put the dynatech's w/ high flow cats it got quire a bit louder. You get what you pay for the Corsa is all 304 stainless.
