Default Opinions wanted on the AEM Brute Force air intake!

Anybody using the Brute Force? If so what is your opinions on its performance at low, mid, and top end. Any SOTP or dyno results to speak of. I am interested in using this intake on a 5.3.

Thanks...Scott

I am either building my own or going to try the new vararam intake. As soon as they prove it. AEM is suppose to be a good intake, hell you can modify anything and make it work better.

it looks good. felt more upper power. supposedly it increases hp by about 10-16. i've seen a dyno of 10, 13, and 16. all different magazines.

I also noticed the top end increase. They claim you will get better mpg, but not the way I drive.

I got one and I like it. Not much SOTP feel, but you can hear it, which may make some people think it feels faster. It does give a different "feel" when driving, but its hard to explain. I think mine was good for about 1.5 to 2 tenths, but I only compared it to other G-tech runs and averaged them out. All in all its a nice intake, I bought it basically based on what the magazines had gained on the Dyno.

Well if the rwhp gain is 10-16, then it should definitely be a nice improvement. With my Magnaflow catback, I think my exhaust is taken care of, but the engine seems to be choking a bit on the top-end. I'm thinking this intake should take care of that.
