Default ordered vhp cam today

i just got off the phone with roger vinci himself, what a nice guy, i called up there and was suprised when somebody answered. i called an hour after they closed, but tried anyway. we talked for a good 30min, came up with this cam for my truck DUR @ .050" 216*/224 LIFT .551/.551 std OVERLAP 53 LSA 115 lol he said if i have traction problems now, i will have severe traction problems with this torqy cam, what do you guys think this will idle like? its not very aggressive, he said the accelerated lift actually make this cam act like its 5-7 deg bigger in duration. but will still provide a good idle with high vacuum. powerband from 2200-6000.

Wow Joe sounds like anice guy to stick around that long to help. It does sound like a good cam. Is this a comp custom grind on XE lobes?

mmmm...nitrous..

oh ya does anyone know the degrees of overlap on the stock truck cams -not LSA but degrees overlap?

Joe does seem like a really nice guy. I've a number of email conversations with him, and he's been patient with all my ramblings.

What he mentioned in the "Tight LSA" cam thread is really hitting home with me right now. He mentioned installing a 224/224 in a minimal bolt-on f-body - there was a lack of throttle responce, and it only came to life after 4K. That really sums up my complaints with my cam right now. He said he designed the ASK-Kicker around the above issues.

When I do heads this spring, I'm going to try that cam.

yea, i like that cam also, i called him back and changed that cm to be on a 113 lsa, i think that will still have plenty of throttle response and maybe will limit my spin out of the hole, i would recommend anyone to them.

Uhh.. I take that back. I'll be running an As* Kicker sooner than I thought.

I just called Joe and Roger to vent out some frustrations, and get some more feedback. It was one good phone call.

Hink, I think Roger mentioned you. He said you had HPTuners and changed your order slightly? They said they're getting it out the door shortly.
