I'm planning on some healthy heads in the spring - so whichever cam I feel suits me better, I'll run that at that time. Right now I plan on running the VHP through the winter months unless for some odd reason I really don't like it.

I'm looking into running some LS1 heads that were ported for torque, as opposed to common Stage II LS6 style 6.0 heads. You can see my theme...

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with the 220 also. When I FIRST dropped it in, I though it was pretty nice... but then it went into a slump where I was tuning like crazy and not getting anywhere. I guess after all it just needed some time to settle in.

 

i cant wait till my cam comes in, im thinking about getting th vhp tuner as well since im stupid when it comes to tuning, especially hpt... im having a hard time learning.

 

I'm considering one of their tuners too. What got me going on it, was that Roger said he has 35 years of tuning experience in his tuner. I've got about 4 nervous months under my belt! (Just enough to be dangerous. )

He hinted about a few things the tuner does... things I'm a little too afraid to push myself. Mainly timing and TM.

i recieved my cam today, and was lloking at the spec card, it doesnt say an icl to install it at, does that mean i just install it straight up.

 

Yeah, straight up works. I'm quite sure they're ground at least +4.

I hear they might be +5, to account for stock chain wear/stretch??

I'll check my paperwork to see what mine's ground at - I honestly forget right now.
