Original 3.73:1 gears
I have decided to swap my current gear from National Drvetrain(eliminator)to original GM gears. I have tried looking for them at gmpartsdirect.com and can't seem to find them. Does anybody know the GM part # for these gears?
How much do all think these run at the local GM dealer and at gmpartsdirect.com? I was leaning toword Richmond gears but I heard that since they are racing gears, they are somewhat loud. I am looking for quaet gears. Anybody know about anyother gears that are quaet for my type of application. Thanks.....

Re: Original 3.73:1 gears
I found this a LM Performance (a sponsor here) http://www.lmperformance.com/686/2.html They don't have a truck specific listed, but they can get it. I got mine though MTI, it was a GM gear. I have heard and talked with Motive Gear in the past, but their website is not working anymore. Sorry, I don't know the part #. Look out for those shipping charges at GM Parts Direct. Sorry not much help for you.

Re: Original 3.73:1 gears
you can get gm gears through almost any aftermarket supplier . motive has their oem gears but so does us gear , dt gear and power trane . just ask for the oem version of the gears not the house brand that the company carries.
