Pacesetter Question-again
Heys guys,
I am ready to order some pacesetter lt for my 04 2wd with stock 5.3 exhaust but with a 01 6.0 engine. I just wanted to make sure if the off road y-pipe is a must for this set up or are the headers all i need? also i have noticed on the pacesetter website they only list headers for 00-06 4.8-5.3 but not for 6.0-what gives?
Thanks

I'm a big fan of fabricating your own Y-Pipe. Saves money and gives you a custom snug fit. The only part of my exhaust that was bought was the Pacesetters (although I had to work on them too) and my SLP Resonator. The rest was fabricated by myself. Plus...it's fan as hell too!

ok so you are saying if i get the headers i must have some kind of an aftermarket y-pipe- whether its a pacesetter or a custom fab-cause the stock stuff won't work-correct?

I just put some on last night and the fitment was just fine. I had to unbolt the steering arm on the drivers side and I had to slip the ORY pipe together under my truck before bolting the headers up. They sound awesome and throttle response is way better I definitley feel them way more then my tune.

Well I dont want to try and ruin the headers. Texas Speed wont take them back if I mess them up. Is there anyone out there with a 2001 6.0L 3500 Crew Cab LT Dually with these headers? I need to know b4 I attempt the install that I dont have to break my neck to get them to fit.
