Default pacesetters or hooker long tubes..?

What up guys its been awhile since i have been on here but i have decided to get back into 1/4 milen. When i last built my truck up (05 5.3 ext cab) I ran 1 3/4 hooker long tubes and loved them. Well i took them off to run on my 5.7 single cab truck then later sold the truck so now im wanting to put long tubes back on my 5.3 it but not pay 900 for the hookers. So is the pacesetters a good set of headers, say compared to the hookers..?

when my friends did headers on a LS1 camaro's one did the pacesetter headers other did the jet hot coated hookers, and they made with in 5 hp of each other and the price was about 600 difference!

I love the look of those long tubes by stainless works... but $1600 for headers is a LOT of money when you can get the hookers for $600..of couse that on a big block.

Thanks. Yeah im going with the pacesetters. Anyone heard anything about the bigger OD headers like the 1 3/4 looseing torque..? I think my hookers hurt me on the big end, just a little..

I can't speak for the Hookers, but the Pacesetter are great when you use the OR "Y" pipe with them. It becomes a direct bolt on. It doesn't get any easier than that. The price is right. I use Stage8 bolts with them just to be on the safe side.

Sweet, yeah the Y pipe with my hookers was a pain in the a$$ to get on and still end up leaking a little after a month or so.

Wow thats alot of ponies for a bolt on.. Im just hoping they sound as good as my hookers did. I was running hooker long tubes with a hooker single in, duel out muffler and it sounded bad a$$..
